Introduction

Welcome to Questionable Reality. This is a message board for original fiction of all types and genres. In general, it's a pretty friendly place. We're all nice, accepting people, right?

Right, so, moving on. We basically created this on a whim. As it says on our sister site, CLAMPesque, personal websites are all well and good, but they don't generate that much feedback, and certainly not much constructive criticism. So feel free to leave these things, and have a blast looking around.

Rules

  • Anyone is welcome to post anything. Please sign up for an account before posting.

  • Multi-parters are just as suitable as short stories. If you already have a work in progress, feel free to start at any point, as long as you give a link to the previous chapters.

  • Given this, please label your fics. Make sure everything has a comprehensive warnings list at the beginning. Going to have violence? Say so. Sex? Definitely say so. We have nothing against profanity or sexual themes, but please be sure to give appropriate warning.

  • There are no genre restrictions, but please give every fic a genre label of some sort. Some people don't like science-fiction, or fantasy, or what have you. If it fits into more than one category, list all that apply.

  • Be sure to say whether the fic is one-part or more.

  • Don't post if you're too sensitive to take constructive criticism.

  • About lemons... we have nothing against sex. However please avoid posting pointless PWPs. There are plenty of things you can do in a sex fic to give it a dimension beyond merely moaning and grinding.

  • Perhaps you're in the middle of a chapter of your on-going story and you suddenly have a bad case of writer's block. You would like to post what you have of the chapter and ask opinions as to which way the story might go. Feel free to so. Just be sure to place a label such as DRAFT on it, please.

  • The importance of good spelling, punctuation and grammar simply can't be stressed enough.

  • Absolutely NO flaming.

  • Homophobic remarks in particular will NOT be well received.

  • Do give constructive feedback. The key word here being constructive.

  • If you're going to give negative criticism, do give a valid reason for all points you make. Criticism should be based on the story's merits or lack of them, not on your personal morals and/or hangups.

  • Again, do use good spelling, punctation, etc. Av0Id dOIng ThiZ. It's not cool, it's annoying.

  • Please try to keep off-topic posts to a minimum.
